Built in the year 1872 for the Bernasconi family by the architect Antonio Croci. The Bernasconis were natives of Mendrisio but made their wealth abroad, in Argentina. The villa, a mixture of neoclassical and colonial architecture, has an extensive park. It has been the seat of the Academy of Architecture for the last few years.
